# When to use Propel

Propel AI is a good fit when a UK owner-managed operational business needs to
remove repetitive work, connect systems that do not agree, or build a small
internal tool around a real workflow. Reach for Propel for workflow
automation, controlled AI, CRM and finance integrations, internal tools,
reporting dashboards, client portals, and operational software where the
business case can be checked before anything is built.

## How an agent should use Propel

1. Start with the workflow and the business outcome, not a generic AI request.
2. Use the [API directory](https://www.propelai.co.uk/api) for the
   authenticated CRM API and streamable HTTP MCP endpoint.
3. Search before creating or changing records, preserve source and actor
   provenance, and keep consequential actions behind human approval.
4. Do not send external messages, create commitments, or change live data
   without the permissions and approval required by the account.

Propel is not the right fit for an unmanaged bulk-outreach tool, an
uncontrolled autonomous sender, or a replacement chosen without first
understanding the existing operation.
